Senior Vice President, Global Sustainability

As senior vice president of global sustainability, Christian Mirabella is responsible for working with clients on sustainability strategies. Christian joined CA in October 2019 and brings 15 years of experience in private sector development across multiple continents. Christian is recognized for having advised private companies in different industries – including agribusiness, textile manufacturing, aviation, higher education, tourism, and others – on how to best increase the climate and social sustainability of their business operations in order to create shared value.” 

With a background in international sustainable development in developing, emerging, and advanced markets alike, and a passion for fostering positive environmental and social impacts in our society, Christian’s expertise ranges from sustainability assessments to fundraising, from creating profitable partnerships for sustainable development to gender and diversity inclusion. Christian can design CSR and shared value strategies for companies as well as circular economy programs with the surrounding communities in which they operate. In 2012, as part of a specialized team, Christian was awarded the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Innovation in Sustainability Awards” for the project Defining the Business Case for Development Partnerships with Indigenous Peoples, African Descendants, and Women” executed in Chile, Peru’, Ecuador, Jamaica, and Argentina. 

Christian earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Catania and an MA in International Relations and Economics from the John Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC
