As chief investment officer, Nishant Bakaya is responsible for the firm’s global investment management platform. CA manages real estate investments on behalf of some of the world’s largest institutional investors across a range of core, value-add, and opportunistic investment vehicles. Nishant drives CA’s investment strategy across multiple asset classes, including student housing, senior housing, residential, industrial, office and medical office/life science. During his tenure, Bakaya has advised CA on its $1 billion joint venture with QuadReal Property Group and GI Partners to acquire, develop and manage student housing properties in strategic university markets throughout the United States.
Prior to joining CA, Nishant was the global co-head of real estate private capital for Evercore Partners. Over the course of his career, Bakaya has been involved in over $100 billion of real estate transactions across the senior housing, student housing, hospitality, multifamily and retail asset classes.
Nishant earned a BA in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
