As senior vice president of wellness, Noby Takaki oversees the wellness experience of CA’s residents and staff. Her vision is to create a differentiated fitness and wellness experience that inspires our residents and employees to be an active participant in their wellness journey. Noby believes in a well-rounded, moderate, and accessible approach to wellness. She does this by focusing on small, incremental changes across seven pillars of wellness — physical, social, emotional, environmental, spiritual, intellectual, and occupational, and also designs the fitness amenity spaces for CA’s developments.
Prior to joining CA, Noby worked in fitness and wellness for over 20 years. Most recently, she was the senior assistant director of fitness at Chicago’s elite health and fitness facility, the East Bank Club. While there, she helped design and execute fitness and wellness programs for employees and members. In addition to creating exciting programs to keep members engaged and invested in their own Wellness, Noby worked with leading vendors to maintain the highest standard of equipment, services, safety, and experience. She also grew and managed the 360 Coaching offering where certified Coaches developed well-rounded, tailored programs that extended beyond fitness and into nutrition, myofascial release, mental strength and more.
Noby is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA, USA Weightlifting Sport Performance Coach, Level 3 Fascial Stretch Therapy Practitioner through STW, and FMS Level 2 through Functional Movement Systems. She is also involved with Chicago North Shore women’s rugby and served on their Board of Directors.
Noby holds a BS in Kinesiology from University of Illinois at Chicago.
