CA Industrial Breaks Ground on Glendale, Arizona Industrial Development

CA Industrial (“CA”) today announced the groundbreaking of the first phase of Luke Logistics Center in Glendale, Arizona. The development is the product of a joint venture partnership between CA Industrial and DWS/RREEF.

The groundbreaking of the first phase of Luke Logistics Center marks the strategic expansion of CA’s presence in the Sun Belt – an increasingly attractive, dynamic market,” said Joe Trinkle, senior vice president and market officer for CA industrial across the Southwest and West regions. This project supports the continued growth of the e‑commerce sector and bolsters our portfolio in a growing market that has seen strong demand for warehouse and distribution space as well as population and job growth.”

Located at the northwest corner of Loop 303 and Glendale Avenue, the four-building site will encompass 90-acres of land for the industrial facilities totaling 1.5 million square feet. The state-of-the art development will be a leader in sustainability having been designed to LEED standards, and will be suitable for warehousing, distribution, logistics, manufacturing or data center users. Each building will feature 32 – 40-foot clear heights, cross dock and rear loading with 185-foot-deep gated truck courts, trailer storage, generous car parking, ESFR sprinkler systems, and 60-foot speed bays.

The rapid growth e‑commerce has created an unprecedented need for logistics-oriented spaces, and this momentum is not expected to slow down anytime soon,” said Michael Podboy, president of CA Industrial. CA is poised to strongly benefit from the sector’s secular tailwinds, and we look forward to capitalizing on the current demand as we identify and deliver additional projects to strategically enhance CA Industrial’s portfolio across the US.”

Since the start of 2021, CA Industrial has closed transactions representing approximately $700 million in total project costs and remains on track to commence development projects totaling more than 9 million square feet of industrial space across the US, including facilities in Denver, Atlanta, Dallas, Savannah, Columbus, Indianapolis and Las Vegas, among others.

The project is being designed and constructed by design-builder LGE Design Build, and JLL’s John Lydon and Hagen Hyatt will be leasing the property.
